As a DLP Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the operational security and compliance of the organization, with a primary focus on configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and managing alerts to ensure the security and compliance of sensitive information.


YOUR TASKS

  • You will be responsible for configuring, managing, and continuously improving DLP rules to ensure the protection of sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements
  • You will work closely with Legal, Data Protection (DPO) and Governance to develop and adapt DLP strategies in accordance with data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)
  • Analyze and respond to DLP alerts, assess the severity of potential risks, and work to resolve incidents 
  • You will also be responsible for identifying and evaluating DLP trends and incidents for continuous improvement of detection mechanisms and security strategies
  • Your responsibilities include supporting the monitoring and response to security-related alerts from various security platforms (endpoint security, network, and cloud)
  • You are responsible for creating regular reports and documentation on DLP rules, security incidents, and compliance activities for management and various stakeholders


YOUR PROFILE

  • You have successfully completed a degree in IT security, computer science, business informatics or a comparable field of study
  • You have unparalleled expertise in information security, particularly in the areas of DLP, data protection, and compliance. You have extensive experience with DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec, McAfee, and Digital Guardian) in complex corporate environments
  • You have experience setting up, adjusting, and improving DLP rules
  • You have strong analytical and investigative skills to handle security alerts and incidents. 
  • You are a good communicator to work well with the legal, DPO, and IT departments
  • You have knowledge of relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their impact on DLP strategies. Ideally, you also have experience with other security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, or cloud security solutions) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS controls).
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, is an asset that enhances your professional profile.
