What this role is about
As Technical Lead E-Commerce, you will take overall technology ownership for a key digital sales domain. You will ensure that architecture, platform strategy, and technology decisions support a growing e-commerce business in a scalable, stable, and commercially sustainable way.
In this role, you will connect business goals, product requirements, and engineering reality — shaping how products are built, operated, and continuously improved.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architectural guardrails for the e-commerce / digital sales domain
- Make and advocate for strategic technology decisions with long-term impact
- Translate company and business goals into technical priorities and decision-making frameworks
- Work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering, bringing a strong technology perspective into strategic discussions
- Provide technical leadership to engineering crews, set direction, and ensure clarity across multiple teams
- Establish engineering standards, governance, and decision-making processes
- Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation measures with a clear focus on business impact and long-term product quality

What you should bring from a professional perspective
- Several years of experience in a highly senior technical role with responsibility for architecture, technology decisions, or platform strategy
- Solid experience in an e-commerce, retail, or digital platform environment
- A very good understanding of scalable software architectures and cloud platforms — ideally GCP — as well as modern deployment and operating models
- Ideally, a background in software engineering and the ability to assess technical concepts with confidence
- Strong business acumen and experience connecting technology decisions with value creation, growth, and product strategy
