Digital sales is a rapidly growing business model for PAYBACK. At the Berlin site, there is a cross-functional team of Business, Product & Tech (Crew), which has holistic responsibility for its products.

As a Fullstack Engineer, you will work within cross-functional crews following a “you build it, you run it” principle, contributing not only with code but also with operational excellence, system design, and team enablement.

YOUR TASKS

• Take ownership across the full lifecycle: development, deployment, and operations
• Work with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure
• Ensure reliability, performance, and observability of systems
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers
• Share knowledge, mentor others, and actively contribute to team success

YOUR PROFILE

• You have several years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer or in a similar role
• You have strong technical skills inJava and Spring Framework
• You have a solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and system design
• You have practical experience with cloud technologies (e. g. GCP), infrastructure as code (e. g. Terraform), and modern deployment and operating models
• You are comfortable with responsibility, ambiguity, and continuous improvement
• Fluency in spoken and written English rounds off your profile
