What this role is about

This role focuses on the further development and operation of the PAYBACK Marketplace, which forms the central foundation for product, merchant and marketplace functionalities. In this role, you will ensure the technical integrity, scalability and stability of the platform and take technical ownership of architecture, integrations, incident management and technical quality. You will act as the central technical point of contact for the cross-functional crew in the Online Shopping domain as well as for external technology partners.

Your day-to-day work

You take technical ownership of our PAYBACK eCommerce Marketplace in the Online Shopping domain – from architecture and stability through to performance, security and operations
You ensure high technical quality through architecture, design and code reviews, making sure that standards and non-functional requirements are met
You make sure that business-critical marketplace functionalities run reliably – including operational readiness, monitoring, incident and problem management
You are the central technical point of contact for Product, Business, external partners and technology service providers
You support and manage technical integrations within our marketplace ecosystem

This role is a great fit for you if you...

have several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Solution Architect or in a comparable role
have sound knowledge of modern cloud, API and integration architectures
have gained experience with e-commerce, marketplace or platform solutions, ideally with Mirakl and Commercetools
confidently manage external service providers and technology partners
have several years of experience with architecture and code reviews
have experience operating business-critical systems as well as in incident and problem management
think analytically, work in a structured way and take a solution-oriented approach
communicate effectively, involve stakeholders confidently and enjoy working hands-on
