YOUR TASKS

• As Team Lead, you are responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of our Machine Learning Engineering team
• You are responsible for the implementation of Machine Learning models on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• You work hands-on in a cross-functional team to develop and deploy innovative data and AI products using classical machine learning methods and generative AI (GenAI)
• Collaborate with your team to ensure the smooth operation of our AI systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues related to quality, scalability, performance, and security
• You develop best practices, optimize existing applications, and always stay up to date with the latest technology
• You care for the personal and professional development of eight team members
• You work closely with Data Scientists, Product and Business Stakeholders, as well as Tech Teams, and you accompany the entire lifecycle of ML/GenAI models, from conception to deployment, monitoring, and optimization

YOUR PROFILE

• You have several years of professional experience in the development and operationalization of data and AI products, ideally with practical know-how in the field of GenAI
• You have strong knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL, especially for data analysis, data engineering, and ML model development
• You have practical experience in the areas of MLOps and CI/CD
• Your expertise includes hands-on experience with GCP services (such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, ...) and Terraform
• You possess a deep understanding and practical experience in managing ML modelsacross the entire lifecycle (Development, Deployment, Monitoring, Optimization) using modern MLOps practices
• You have the ability and proven experience to lead and mentor a team, motivate employees, and promote a collaborative working style
• Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and a proactive approach to solving complex problems characterize you
• Very good communication skills and fluency in English and ideally German round off your profile
